Virtual Conversation with the Author: Jarrett Adams

Wednesday, May 27 | 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | Virtual

Join the Great North Innocence Project for a conversation about Redeeming Justice: From Defendant to Defender, My Fight for Equity on Both Sides of a Broken System by exoneree and attorney Jarrett Adams.

Redeeming Justice is a memoir about Jarrett Adams’s wrongful conviction at 17, his decade in prison, and his subsequent journey to becoming a lawyer to fight for justice for others. The book details his experience with the legal system, the support he received from his family, and his transformation from a defendant to a defender, working with organizations like the Innocence Project to help others facing similar injustices, particularly young men of color.

At the Great North Innocence Project, education is a central tenet of our work.

This discussion invites supporters, advocates, and community members to come together to ask and answer, what are the systemic and human causes and consequences of wrongful convictions?
